The primary purpose of this role is to support the execution of MAG's Data Protection and Privacy Strategy. The Data Protection and Information Governance Apprentice will be responsible for assisting the organisation in its compliance with information governance and data protection best practice and associated laws and regulations.

Duration: 1 Year 7 Months

Expected start date: 07/05/2026

Hours per week: 36.25 hours

Wage: (Annually)

Job role includes

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day coordination of individual information requests
  • Advise and support business areas on breach related incident management
  • Manage the DPO inbox and triage/escalate to the Data Protection Manager and/or Data Protection Officer as necessary, taking responsibility for the day-to-day operation of enquiries and transactional requests
  • Demonstrate excellent and effective communication skills with all stakeholders within MAG and externally
  • Assist in the maintenance and administration of the organisation’s information and governance framework

    This position is a fixed term apprenticeship leading to a Data Protection & Information Governance Practitioner Level 4 qualification. On-the-job practical training will be provided alongside a comprehensive training plan that, upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, could lead to a permanent role within the Data Protection function.
