This is a fantastic opportunity to join our growing team as an Aeronautical Metal Fabricator/Welder Apprentice, with a well-established company, that exports all over the world. You will be working with latest technology machines, metal forming, machining, laser cutting & all types of resistance & TIG welding – we provide full on the job training.

Duration: 3 Years 6 Months

Expected start date: 07/09/2026

Hours per week: 37 hours

Wage: (Annually)

Job role includes

  • Sheet metal details
  • Sheet metal fitting
  • Basic machine operating using VTL and lathes
  • Hydroforming operations
  • Basic welding skills (Resistance welding)
  • General housekeeping and materials management
  • Adhering to health and safety policies and procedures

  • Training will be delivered by a combination of all round training in the workplace and will also involve attending college one day a week at Hopwood Hall College (Middleton Campus). You will be assigned a 'work-based tutor' from Hopwood Hall College who will support you through your qualification
