Exciting opportunity in our transport planning team for an apprentice to join our experienced team who deal in all aspects of traffic & transportation planning.You will develop your general understanding of civil engineering and planning.

Duration: 5 Years

Expected start date: 04/09/2026

Hours per week: 37.5 hours

Job role includes

You will develop your general understanding of civil engineering and planning. Typical duties could involve:

  • Assisting in the preparation of Transport Assessments and Travel Plans
  • Developing sustainable transport solutions
  • Highway design including use of CAD
  • Analysis of data and drawings of transport improvements including junction designs
  • Preparing Technical reports to support planning applications
    Site and Access Appraisals
  • Liaising with clients and stakeholders
    This position will include day release to complete a fully funded professionally accredited apprenticeship at a local university

    • Transport Engineer: Transport engineers are responsible for the design and maintenance of transport infrastructure. They work on projects that include the construction of new roads, bridges, and tunnels, as well as the repair and maintenance of existing infrastructure
