Siemens Rail Infrastructure deliver turnkey signalling, power and communication projects to enhance railway capacity. Based in Manchester, our work covers a large footprint across the region, and opportunities for travel and project delivery across the Northwest and the whole of UK will be available.

Job role includes

Embark on your journey with us whilst taking part in our fantastic apprentice development programme. We will create a personalised training plan to help you develop the specific skills and knowledge required for your role. By the end of your programme, you will be equipped with the best knowledge and hands-on experience to kickstart your professional career here at Siemens Mobility. 

Your learning experience will consist of exposure to the following:

  • Learning about railway signalling principles and requirements.
  • Designing new signalling circuits to control train movements safely.
  • Working in the project delivery team to oversee new infrastructure being commissioned.
  • Testing the signalling systems to ensure safety-critical functionality.
  • Understand the technology that is available and determine the most suitable solution.
  • See the project lifecycle from concept to completion.
