Emerson Automation Solutions (Final Control) Ltd are looking to recruit an Apprentice for their site in Worsley. The role involves the assembly and testing of safety valves, ensuring products are produced to the right quality and within specified timeframes. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to start a career in engineering!

Duration: 42 Months

Expected start date: 06/05/2024

Hours per week: 37.5 hours

Wage: 13292.69 (Annually)

Job role includes

  • Working within standard operating procedures
  • Working within Health & Safety guidelines and controlling risks associated with pressure testing work
  • Interpreting and following drawings / diagrams and / or specifications for required assembly
  • Re-furbishing components
  • Quality checking and adjusting assembly against required specification
  • Maintaining production records
  • Identifying and resolving problems with components or assembly, fault diagnosis
  • Making recommendations and implementing improvements in accordance with Emerson’s various continuous improvement programmes
  • Ensuring own workstation complies with the 5S housekeeping standards
  • Gaining skills to be able to work across different product lines

Level 3 Engineering Fitter Apprenticeship Standard, which includes:

  • Level 2 Practical Skills to be completed at The STEGTA Training Centre based in Flixton
  • Work based portfolio of competence to meet the Standard requirements of Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours
  • Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Technical Knowledge) to be completed at College on a day release basis over 2 years
  • End Point Assessment

    • On successful completion of the Level 3 Apprenticeship there would be a role within the shop floor team as a skilled Mechanical Fitter
