We are looking for 2 Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Apprentices to join our growing business. Based at our state of the art manufacturing facility in Wigan, this is an opportunity to gain a highly respected, multi-faceted career.

Duration: 42 Months

Expected start date: 01/09/2022

Hours per week: 40 hours

Wage: 13520 (Annually)

Job role includes

·       The Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Apprentices will be part of our Engineering Team, working in the wider Manufacturing Department which also includes Production, Warehouse, Technical, Quality and Purchasing. They will learn all aspects of our engineering function and become technically proficient to a high level.

·       The Engineering Team currently made up of 12 people, who perform a wide range of roles within the business. This includes Support Technicians, Test Engineers, Technical Coordinators and Manufacturing Process Engineers.

·       This role will cover periods in:

o   Technical - Where they will learn more about our products, including common faults/fixes

o   Returns - they will work with our technicians to establish faults and analyse failures.

o   Productions - working on our manufacturing machines including Wave Solder and SMT. Fixing faults and installing new equipment. 

o   Engineering Workshop - creating calibration and engineering tools and testers. Working on in depth technical returns and creating demo rigs.

The apprentices will work under a team of highly skilled, time served engineers, in our state-of-the-art factory.

Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence)

After a further period of skills and technical knowledge development all apprentices will be required to achieve the following qualifications:

Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence) – Product  Design and Development

Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)

    Progression within the business maybe possible on completion of the apprenticeship programme.
