The placement will mainly be working alongside our Data Science & Modelling specialism and our Data Management specialism. Our Data Science & Modelling team are focused on linking media spend to business outcomes through data science techniques such as Market Mix Modelling (MMM), brand health modelling and creative analytics.  Our Data Management team ensures that marketers have access to the right data to generate action orientated insight across the marketing lifecycle.

About the placement

This placement will focus on using data to support clients across the marketing cycle. You will get exposure to projects that help a client determine the necessary media spend to achieve their revenue targets, as well as providing hands-on experience with real-world data sets and cloud technologies like Big Query (BQ).

During this placement, you will gain valuable experience in:

  • Sourcing, organising, and formatting data for analysis: You will learn how to gather and prepare data from various sources, ensuring it is ready for thorough analysis.
  • Blending data from multiple sources: You will integrate data from different platforms and databases to create a comprehensive dataset that provides a holistic view of the client’s media spend and revenue metrics.
  • Analysing data to support business outcomes: You will apply analytical techniques to interpret the data, identify patterns and insights, and guide strategic decisions.
  • Interpreting data and communicating the results: Effective communication of findings is crucial. You will practice presenting you analysis in a clear and actionable manner, helping the client understand the implications of their media spend.
  • Discovering, evaluating, and applying sources of knowledge: You will explore various sources of information and methodologies to enhance your analytical approach and ensure robust, data-driven recommendations.
  • Using technologies to analyse and solve problems: You will leverage advanced digital tools and techniques to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights. This experience will enhance your problem-solving skills and your ability to use data effectively in decision-making processes.
  • Exploring digital environments: You will gain exposure to various digital environments, including physical, virtual, and cloud-based platforms. You will work with cloud technologies, particularly Google Cloud’s Big Query, to manage and analyse large datasets.
