Greater Manchester’s Festival of Technical Education
The Greater Manchester Festival of Technical Education starts in June 2025! Join us for two weeks of virtual and in-person events celebrating student achievements in technical education. You can explore careers, workplaces and training pathways; helping you make an informed decision about your future career in Greater Manchester’s growing economy.
The Festival supports the Greater Manchester Baccalaureate (MBacc), a mission of the Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham, to create a genuine and equal alternative to the university route.
- Festival Week: main events taking place during the week of 30th June
- Festival Fringe: events with Greater Manchester’s colleges and technical education training providers taking place across June and July.
- Virtual Festival: events taking place virtually across the city region. This includes ‘Meet Your Future’ webinars shown in school – connecting you with Greater Manchester’s top employers in a range of industries giving their insights on the world of work.
