Blue Cabin and Durham University’s Institute for Medical Humanities are accepting bookings for the next cohort of Creative Facilitation Training.

This course is designed for care-experienced young adults (aged 18-25) who want to develop confidence, leadership and communication skills in a safe and supportive environment.

You don’t need any prior experience in facilitation. This cohort is for people living in Greater Manchester – or within a 1-hour train ride away! There are up to 12 places available.

The emphasis of the training will be on creating safe and inclusive spaces where everyone’s voice is heard.

The training will include:

  • Two consecutive days of in-person training (24th and 25th October 2026)
  • Optional online surgeries for facilitation support
  • Hands-on facilitation practice
  • Optional one-off paid facilitation placement after completing the training

You will gain skills in:

  • Discussion leading
  • Clear communication
  • Guided decision-making
  • Conflict resolution

The closing date for bookings is 12 noon on Wednesday 30 September 2026.
