Energise Programme by Catch 22
ENERGISE is a free, Shell-funded programme that helps individuals overcome barriers to employment, particularly in the rapidly growing green and net-zero sectors. It’s fully remote and designed to be accessible, practical, and genuinely life-changing.
They’ve already supported over 480 people into a variety of roles across Greater Manchester, and are looking to build more meaningful partnerships to reach even more local residents.
Energise is a 4-week programme delivered by Catch22 and funded by Shell, to support people facing barriers into jobs and apprenticeships that support the energy transition.
Participants will receive:
- Automatic access to a 4-week energy transition programme, delivered remotely.
- A dedicated Career Coach providing 1-2-1 tailored support to break down barriers.
- Financial support for employment related costs, such as: DBS checks, SIA Badges, CSCS cards, and more.
- In-work support once participants secure employment, including funding for travel expenses, PPE, and more.
- A dedicated partnerships team working with employers to provide exclusive job vacancies.
Their comprehensive four-week course focuses on:
- Upskilling and transferable skills
- CV creation and access to hidden job markets
- Social media empowerment and employer expectations
- Communication and presentation skills
- Confidence and motivation building
- Sustainability and green careers
- The energy transition and net-zero opportunities – any sector
- Interview techniques and health & safety basics
- Leadership, management, and customer service skills
- Conflict management, emotional intelligence, and budgeting advice
Participants also receive up to six months of one-to-one support from a dedicated career coach and In work support and the programme is delivered remotely for convenience and accessibility.
