Practice Support Placement – Engaging with our members to understand user needs and bring innovative ideas around continuous improvement to the table. Acting as the primary owner of some BAU operational processes within the Practice Support Team, e.g., internal and external reporting outputs, data analysis across a range of membership engagement. Ownership of deliverables that enable the achievement of Practice Plan objectives. Being an active member of the Digital Practice Support community, driving and leading opportunities to share knowledge and develop a strong community presence. Contribute to building capability across the Practice by making Learning and Development opportunities both accessible and valuable to our practice members.

About the business
DWP Digital main purpose is to maintain user-friendly digital services that enable millions of people to access the help, advice and financial support they need. In this role you will be sat in the Business Services Practice. The Business Service Practice brings together the key business services which enable Digital Group as a whole to focus on delivering critical IT services for DWP and its citizen customers. These services are delivered through a mix of both centralised teams working at Group level and Function teams supporting the Directors & their SLTs to deliver against their own lines of business. The scope of the practice is broad; it includes the roles covering Portfolio Management; Governance & Assurance; Business Management; Planning, Performance & Risk; Audit; Workforce Planning & Resourcing, Financial & Budget Management/Assurance; Capability & Skills development; Recruitment; and Digital Engagement. It ensures that Digital Group is planning effectively, has engaged and skilled resources, has access to the right level of information and tools and is able to effectively measure and track delivery of successful outcomes.
About the T Level – Management and Administration
During the 2-year programme, students will develop the core knowledge and skills that are needed for entry to a range of management and administration occupations.
This course is suitable for anyone interested in a career in management and administration.

Students will develop an understanding of a broad range of issues relevant to the sector, including:
- business context – an overview of organisational cultures and values, different types of internal and external stakeholder, different forms of governance and the impact of organisations on society and the environment
- project and change management – an understanding of the common change management theories and models and how to support and improve projects
- business behaviours – the importance of good communication and adapting social communication styles to professional standards and according to purpose, medium and audience
- quality and compliance – the importance of maintaining and improving quality in all aspects of public and private sector organisations
