This T Level placement is as an administrative support to the People function at TfGM. It will support the three main areas of the HR team (Resourcing, Human Resources Operations, Learning & Organisational Development) to co-ordinate their activities effectively.

About the placement

This is a great opportunity to support a busy People team in delivering great things for their employees. The placement will focus on giving administrative and co-ordination support to:

  • People Director
  • Head of HR
  • Head of Organisational Development
  • Senior Resourcing Manager

The placement will provide context on how a People function supports an organisation, and will develop skills in administration, co-ordination, and building working relationships. It also includes supporting with calendars, arranging meetings, and taking minutes and actions from meetings. There’s also opportunity to analyse themes from minutes and actions and make recommendations for improvement.

The placement will work with the three different teams (HR, Resourcing, OD) to get insight into how we recruit, support, and develop employees in an organisation.

We recommend this for students who can attend our City Centre on a Tuesday or Wednesday each week. TfGM offers hybrid working, and these are the days that most of the team are in the office to support the placement.

About the T Level – Management and Administration

During the 2-year programme, students will develop the core knowledge and skills that are needed for entry to a range of management and administration occupations.

This course is suitable for anyone interested in a career in management and administration.

Students will develop an understanding of a broad range of issues relevant to the sector, including:

  • business context – an overview of organisational cultures and values, different types of internal and external stakeholder, different forms of governance and the impact of organisations on society and the environment
  • project and change management – an understanding of the common change management theories and models and how to support and improve projects
  • business behaviours – the importance of good communication and adapting social communication styles to professional standards and according to purpose, medium and audience
  • quality and compliance – the importance of maintaining and improving quality in all aspects of public and private sector organisations
