Thinking about Uni

GMHigher are an organisation who can help you decide if Uni is for you. Normally they come into school or college to talk to you but you can still get advice from them online.

Here are the three ways:

  1. If you’re Year 10, the Go Further online mentoring project is fantastic. It’s designed to help you find out about all your options after school. It’s run by current university-level students (called Student Ambassadors) with the help of local colleges and universities. You will be matched to a Student Ambassador through the online Brightside platform, where you’ll both look information and ideas together to help you make decisions about the future. You’ll work together by messaging throughout June and July. To find out more and register, click here https://gmhigher.ac.uk/events/go-further-mentoring/

  2. If you’re Year 12, you can get one to one online mentoring to help answer those big career questions like which Uni to choose and how to pay for it. Have look yourself: https://gmhigher.ac.uk/my-student-journey/

  3. The free SACU Careers tool helps match you with higher education courses and careers. Access the tool here: https://sacu-student.com/?page_id=6705
